Catch the early Stagecoach

Stagecoach are changing some services next Monday, August 16th, including Service 78, which will operate on a reduced frequency between Dunfermline and Valleyfield. Services west of Valleyfield to Falkirk & Stirling are maintained, but will operate generally 5 or 10 minutes earlier throughout.

New hospital brings new bus routes

To mark the opening of the new Forth Valley Hospital in Larberton august 2nd, a whole new generation of bus services are being introduced, including direct services to the hospital from Alloa & the Hillfoots, Denny and Maddison. There will be a bus every 15 minutes connecting the hospital with Larbert rail station, and existing services like First's 6/7, X19 and 38 services will all see improvements.

Stirling bus changes

From June 7th, First are making a few changes around Stitling.
Cowie - Cornton services 51/52 will be cancelled and replaced by service 54 which will cover all the current route, and extended to Bridge of Allan & Stirling University.
Meanwhile, after years on campaigning for a better bus service to Stirling Royal Infirmary, Service 57 )Raploch- St Ninians) will serve the hospital, for the last couple of months of it's existance.

Grangemouth Citylinked to Oban

Scottish Citylink has announced details of its new summer timetables, which will come into effect on 24th May 2010.
Service 913 Edinburgh – Fort William and 978 Edinburgh – Oban, both via Stirling, will operate again this summer, with one journey each way seven days a week. These services will also now serve Grangemouth, reinstating the direct service to Oban, which was previously served by BlueBus.

Wee County Boarder changes

There will be a number of changes to the bus services that are supported by Clackmannanshire Council from 29th March 2010.
The new timetables offer many improvements to the bus services currently operating, with new connections to the ScotRail train services at Alloa Railway Station, journeys to the new Clackmannanshire Community Healthcare Centre , Alloa Park Drive, the Gaberston area of Alloa
To introduce these improvements within existing resources a few reductions are also required, including the withdrawl from Yetts O'Muckhart on Mondays to Saturdays, and some other areas like Clackmannan & Cambus will experience a reduced frequency, but with new direct connections to Menstrie.
First return to operate services with WAVE, whilst stagecoach will now operate Alloa Town service on Satrdays.
